Success Stories |
The Rowlett Family (Duck River Farm) bought a female from us in 2007 and had great success showing her. But one of the things we love most is when they go on to prove themselves as cows. That female’s second calf has been numerous time champion and supreme female in Tennessee, but more importantly, was Reserve Grand Bred & Owned female at the Eastern Regional Junior show in Lousiana. She was also Intermediate champion at the NJAS Bred & Owned show in Pennsylvania.
Heath and Brooke Bergkamp and Luke Doris bought a female in 2005. She was also shown successfully, claiming division honors at numerous ROV shows. But that rewarding investment raised a heifer calf this year that was sold for more than the original purchase price and then went on to win Division 1 at the NJAS in Pennsylvania. She was owned and shown by John Jacobs. |

Welcome to McCurry Angus! We are a 4th generation family owned cow/calf operation situated in the sandhill area near Hutchinson, KS. We focus on raising and developing bulls for the commercial rancher. We do not profess to be a “show ring oriented” program, however, our success with Marands-bred females at the National Junior Angus Show, regional and state venues as well as our enjoyment of helping new Angus breeders has resulted in demand for our females.
Our family is involved in all facets of the Angus business – raising cattle, involving our children in Junior Angus programs/activities and participating in leadership roles in Angus organizations/associations.
We hope you will enjoy learning more about us and “who” we are. We invite you to come to south central Kansas and pay us a visit. John would love to show you the cowherd, you can see the pasture programs Andy has developed over the past 20 years and enjoy some of Mary’s great home-cooking!
